Information - All for One and For All

Following the success of the 2009 theme ‘Information Rights - Staying Afloat ’ the main themes for the 2010 conference were developing senior management awareness of information compliance issues and improving the way in which the business area can contribute towards the Policing Pledge.  

This was achieved with the usual mix of formal speakers and workshops, led this year by Sir Hugh Orde, QPM OBE President of ACPO, with additional support from ACPOS and both Information Commissioners; Christopher Graham and Kevin Dunion OBE.   

The event once again provided networking opportunities with information practitioners, subject matter experts, legislation users and suppliers focused on providing problem solving solutions.   This format provided the ideal environment for discussion regarding topics such as the impending inclusion of ACPO into the Freedom of Information Act and potential changes to information disclosure structures following the recent government white paper which seeks to reform ‘back-office functions'.  Delegate attendee numbers exceeded 170 senior professionals from the Police Information Compliance sector.
