The nature of the terrorist threat is dynamic. Law enforcement and the security agencies together with other partner agencies tasked with responding to terrorist related incidents need to be forever reflecting on what works and planning new strategies. Whether protection of iconic sites and crowded places or preparing for further attacks, the incidents in London and Glasgow during summer 2007 left no area of the United Kingdom unaffected.
This conference detailed the operational and organisational learning from recent investigations, with an update on the capability and capacity build accross the UK. The new PREVENT agenda was showcased to detail how the Government strategy will work at a local level. An academic input detailed the history and psychology of terrorism. Networking oppotunities were also available at a drinks reception and gala dinner.
